Technomancer Changes

Page history last edited by Veggiesama 16 years, 3 months ago
  • Technomancers treat complex forms like spells, which mean they cost 5 Karma to learn (Unwired 39).

Technomancy (Resonance) [Skill Group]

  • Abstraction [Computer & Hacking analogue]
  • Cyberstrike [Cybercombat analogue... I hate the name.]
  • Streaming [Data Search & Electronic Warfare analogue]
  • Threading [Software analogue, limited to threading]
    • The skills in this group replace a technomancer's reliance on mundane hacking skills.
    • Of course, the skills may be purchased and specialized individually.

Complex forms (Unwired 39, modified)

  • Complex forms have no ratings, but rather they are bought once with Karma, like a spell.
  • When performing Matrix actions with a complex form, the technomancer uses his Resonance attribute in place of a program rating.
  • Threading an existing complex form grants bonus dice equal to your hits instead of increasing a rating.
  • Threading an improvised complex form gives you a program rating equal to your hits, and you do not add Resonance.
  • Sustaining, fading, etc. work as before.

Sprite Edge

  • Sprites do not receive an Edge attribute, but their tests can be improved if the technomancer spends his own Edge.
